Day 01 : Arrive BangaloreBy: Intl Flight

You will arrive at Bangalore’s International Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, INDIE TRAILS representative will meet you as you EXIT the ARRIVALS TERMINAL building after which you would be transferred to your hotel (standard check in time is 1400 hrs).

Later proceed for the sightseeing tour of Bangalore, excursion to Cubbon Park laid out in 1864, 300 acres of verdant park-land from the heart of the Bangalore city. The Bangalore Palace, built by the Wodeyer ruler of Mysore over a 100 years ago, the unusual structure of granite, the palace is modelled on the Windsor Palace. The Fort and Tupu Sultan’s Palace, a collection of memorabilia of the 18th Century. We also visit the Government Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery – one of the olddest in the country, established in 1886 ardowned with relics from Mohenjodaro period. The historic sprawling gardens at Lal Bagh extended over 240 acres, was laid out by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan in 18thCentury.Wedrivepast the Vidhana Soudha, High Court and the Bull Temple.

Day 02 : Bangalore – Mysore (approx 145Kms/04 Hrs) By: Surface
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Mysore Enroute Srirangapatnam is a rocky island formed by Cauvery River.That made it significant from a military as well as religious point of view. The religious history of Srirangapatna dates back to 9th century AD when the Gangas (Ganga dynasty) ruled this region from their capital at Talakkadu. They built the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in this island and hence the name Srirangapatna. Later, continue your drive to Mysore. The city of Mysore is aptly called the "Sandalwood City". As the visitor enters this city of gardens and avenues of flowering trees, he is greeted by aromas of sandalwood, rose, jasmine and other fragrance. It stands by a hill named after the Goddess Chamundi. Mysore, once the capital of the Wodeyar kingdom, is today the second largest city in Karnataka and one of the finest in southern India. Small, easygoing, famous for its silks and sandalwood, it is a city of fine gardens, tree-lined boulevards, art galleries and an intriguing palace. Mysore’s ten day Dasara festival in September-October is still celebrated with medieval pageantry. Upon arrival check – in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Mysore

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing of Somanthpur Temple - Kesava temple, the famous temples in Karnataka are fascinating not only as artistic expressions of the past but also as living religious institutions where traditions are integral to the life of the people. Take a Somnathpur temple tour to know Somnathpur temple history.

Afternoon visit to Mysore Palace – the palace is of harmonious syntheses of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures which are magnificent. Chamundi Hill to see the Chamundeshwari Temple.

Day 04 : Mysore – Hassan - Chikmagalur (approx 175 Kms/ 03 Hrs)By: Surface

Breakfast at hotel and drive to Chikmaglur Enroute visit to Shravanabelagola (ŚravaṇaBeḷagoḷa) is a town located near Channarayapatna of Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka and is 144 km from Bangalore, the capital of the state. The Gommateshwara statue at Shravanabelagola is one of the most important tirthas (pilgrimage destinations) in Jainism, one that reached a peak in architectural and sculptural activity under the patronage of Western Ganga dynasty of Talakad. Chandragupta Maurya is said to have died here in 298 BCE after he became a Jain monk and assumed an ascetic lifestyle.

Day 05 : Chikmagalur

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for sightseeing of Belur & Halebeedu. Belur, situated on the banks of river Yagachi, 38 km from Hassan, is a world famous tourist destination. Belur was the erstwhile capital of the Hoysalas and referred to as Velapur, Velur and Belahur at different points in history. The town is renowned for its Chennakeshava temple, one of the finest examples of Hoysala workmanship. The temple was consecrated by the famous Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana to mark his victories in 1116 AD against the Cholas and called the Vijaya Narayana.

Halebeedu temple is another great example of temple architecture the twin temples of Hoysaleshwara, Kedareshwara built by Vishnuvardhana and Ballala-II at Halabeedu. Sequences from Ramayana, Mahabharatha&Bhagavatha are depicted on the outer walls of these temples. The efficiency and experience of the sculpture, who had carved these stories in stone is bewitching.

Day 06 : Chikmagalur - Hospet By: Surface

Breakfast at hotel and drive to Hospet.

Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Later proceed for a sight-seeing trip that will include Archeological museum, Himavat Kedaya Waterfall, Jogimatti, Murugharajenra Matha and Ankli Matha.

Day 07 : Hospet – Hampi - Hospet

After breakfast, excursion to Hampi: the once beautiful capital city of Vijaynagar Empire was greater than Rome and had palaces; temple and sculptures spread all over. The Sultanates of South razed the city to the ground in the year 1565 AD. Some of the interesting ruins remaining are the Virupaksha, Vittala and Hazara Rama Temples, huge Ganesha & Narasimha images, the elephant stables, the queen's bath, and carvings on the Ramachandra Temple & Lotus Mahal.

Day 08 : Hospet - Badami By: Surface

After breakfast, leave for Badami. Enroute we stop at Aihole which was the Chalukyan regional capital between the 4th & 6th centuries. Aihole has over a hundred temples scattered around the village.The oldest being the Lad Khan temple dating back to 5th Century.The Durga Temple (the interior is filled with fascinating carvings- Chamundi Devi trampling the Buffalo demon, Narasimha the half man- half lion god,Ardhanari), Hutchimalli temple and Konthi Temple complex.
Enroute stop at Pattadakal, the second capital of Badami Chalukyans, Pattadakal reached the height of its glory during the 7th and 8th centuries. The most important monument here is the Lokeshwara or Virupaksha temple that narrates episodes from the Hindu epics, the Ramayana and Mahabharata. After the visit continue drive to Badami.

Badami formerly known as Vatapi, is a town and headquarters of a taluk by the same name, in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka, India. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. It is famous for rock cut and other structural temples. It is located in a ravine at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya lake.

Day 09 : Badami - Hubli By: Surface
After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of Badami. The capital of the Early Chalukyas (also known as Vatapi) is picturesquely situated at the mouth of a ravine between two rocky mountains. Rock cut cave temples, gateways, forts inscriptions, sculptures that seem to come alive under your eyes. Badami has to be seen to be believed. There are 4 caves here. The first 3 belong to the vedic faith (first cave dedicated to Shiva one can see the 18 armed Nataraja striking 81 dance pose; the third cave -the largest and most ornamental dedicated to Vishnu. Here one can see the splendid carvings) and the fourth Cave is the only Jain temple in Badami. Other temples to be seen here are the Bootha Nath temples and the museum set up by the Archaeological survey of India. Later continue your drive to Hubli. On arrival check in at hotel.
Day 10 : Hubli - Goa (approx 155 Kms/3 Hrs 30 Min)By: Surface
After breakfast, drive to Goa. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Goa
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12 : Goa
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13 : Goa - MumbaiBy: Flight
Breakfast at hotel, later transfer to the airport to fly for Mumbai and transit at the airport.
