Day 01 : Arrive Kolkata By: Intl Flight
Meeting upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Late Morning we take you on a walking Tour of some quintessential places of interest in Kolkata. We start off with the Buddhist community and their small temple on, where else but, Buddhist Temple Street and continue on to the various other communities including:
  • The Bow Barracks of the Anglo-Indians.
  • Metcalfe Street of the Fire Temple.
  • Sun Yat Sen Street of the Chinese.
  • Pollock Street and around of the Jews.
  • Canning Street of the Portuguese.
  • Armenian Street of the Armenians.
OPTIONAL: In the afternoon we begin our tour from the Victoria Memorial, the best introduction to that era, foundation laid in 1906 by The Prince of Wales (later King George V) and opened in 1921 by the Duke of Windsor. Visit the Indian museum, built in 1875, its certainly the largest and probably the best museum in India and one of the best in Asia, displaying priceless relics of ancient civilizations. Other attractions include, St. Paul’s Cathedral, built between 1839 and 1847.We also visit Fort William completed in 1781. Drive past the Raj Bhawan, built in 1799 and 1805 by Marquis Wellesley and High Court completed in 1872, has a tower (55 mts) high which was copied from the Staadhaus at Ypres, Belgium. Finally, the tour concludes at “The Missionaries of Charity”, founded by Mother Teresa in 1950, home for old people, children and all human beings. Return back to the Hotel for a Special Dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 02 : Kolkata - Guwahati – Kaziranga (approx 250 Kms 05 Hrs) By: Flight

After Breakfast in time transfer to Airport to board your flight IT-2502 (1020/1150 Hrs) to GAWAHATI. Arrive Gawahati airport, meeting upon arrival by our Representative & drive to Kaziranga.
Dinner & Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 03 : Kaziranga By: Surface
Early morning Elephant ride at 0530 hrs. Afternoon after lunch, proceed for Jeep Safari. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 04 : Kaziranga – Dimapur – Kohima (approx 250 Kms 05 Hrs 30 Min) By: Surface
We will be driving for about 200 kms today through some forested areas and on hills to reach Kohima. At kohima, we will be staying at a very old colonial era house which has now been converted into a hotel. If time permits, we will visit the WWII cemetery in the heart of the city.
Day 05 : Kohima – Khonoma – Kohima (approx 250 Kms 01 Hrs 30 Min) By: Surface
Today we will travel to Khonoma Village which is about 25 kms from Kohima. It takes a little more than an hour to cover the distance because the roads are in a very bad condition. Khonoma is a historical village...The villagers had put up great resistance to the invading British troops. The village has also been declared as a Green Village because of its successful conservation programme. We will also try and see a cultural presentation in the village. Drive back to Kohima for the night.
Day 06 : Kohima – Mokukchong (approx 160 Kms 06 Hrs) By: Surface
Morning after breakfast depart for Mokukchong. Mokokchung is situated at an altitude of 4347 feet, Mokokchung is the home of the Ao Naga tribe. According to the legends the Aos sprung up from “Longtrok” which means “six stones”. In the past, Mokokchung was one of the preliminary locations in the Naga Hills, where the British had established their presence in the late 19th century. Later on, arrival of Christian missionaries to Mokokchung had brought a different image in the field of education and today it is having the highest literacy in the state with an average literacy rate of 84 %. On arrival in Mokokchung check in to guest house. Afternoon free to explore the nearby locals and meet & interact with the local people. Overnight in Mukukchong.
Day 07 : Mokukchong – Mon Via Amguri (approx 200Kms 08 Hrs)By: Surface
Morning after breakfast depart for Mon. On arrival in Mon check in to guest house. Afternoon free to explore the nearby locals and meet & interact with the local people. Overnight in Mon. Mon: Situated at an altitude of 897.64 meters it is the land of the Konyaks (One of the fiercest tribes in the world). Even though there is a legal administrative system, but actually it is ruled by tribal chiefs called Anghs (locally known as ‘Wang’ meaning the beginning of everything). Mon is the only district in Nagaland to have this unique institution of Anghship. The word of his is law in these parts. His succession is hereditary in nature.The Konyaks believe that they were direct descendants of Noah, for they have Biblical names like Mosa, Kaisa, Aron and so on. The konyaks are famous for their tattooed faces , blackened teeth and barbaric practice of Headhunting
Day 08 : Mon – Chui – Mon By: Surface
Morning after breakfast drive to Chui village, located about 8 kms away from Mon town on the Tuensang – Mon road Chui village still preserves its old charm. One can see the Konyak traditional houses built with palm leaves roofing with protruding out the main pillars. Chui is also famous for ethnic craftsmanship. The skill of the villagers is not confined only on bamboo and woodworks but they are prowess in gun and gunpowder making. Later return to Mon. Visit Mon village which is 7 Kms from Mon town. In the village you can meet the King. He ruled 12 villages – Tanhai, Pongkonmg, Longkei, Leangnyu, Hongphoi, L/Shanghah, Phuktong, Oting, Tumei, Lapa, Upper Tiru and Lower Tiru. Also visit the Morung where the village youths are being taught about the way of manly hood. Later pay a visit to a Konyak house to witness the traditional culture. Overnight in Mon.
Day 09 : Mon – Sivasagar – Jorhat (approx 190 Kms 06 Hrs) By: Surface
Morning after breakfast drive to Sivasagar. Sivasagar, the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Rulers, is a beautiful town located around the huge artificial lake -Sibsagar tank & the Shiva Temple. Discover the marvels of the antient capital of the Ahom kings. Visit the Shiva Temple, the archaeological remains, palaces, and temples of the Ahoms - Charaideo, Gargaon Palace, Talatal Ghar, Rang Ghar & Kereng Ghar. Later drive to Jorhat (70 km / 1 ½ hr). Overnight in Jorhat.
Day 10 : Jorhat – Majuli By: Surface
After a leisurely breakfast drive to Nimatighat (1 hr drive approx) & then take a public ferry to Majuli (1 hrs drive approx). Check in Prashanti Lodge. Evening enjoy Rass festival in Uttar Kamalabari Sattra.
Day 11 : Majuli By: Surface
Full day visit to monasteries & Miching village. Evening enjoy Rass festival. Overnight in Majuli.
Day 12 : Majuli-Jorhat-Kolkata By: Surface
After early breakfast take a Ferry to Nimatighat (2 hrs approx sailing). Later drop at Jorhat airport in time to connect your flight to Kolkata. Arrive Kolkata and transfer to Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13 : Kolkata –Departure By: Intl Flight
Early morning in time transfer to Kolkata Airport to connect your flight to return Back Home.
